The Magic Of Barbados For Your Destination Elopement
On a beautiful evening in February, myself, G + L ventured out to my favourite secret spot in Saint Philip, Barbados to create some destination elopement magic. This spot is a short walk from the access point, but goes totally unnoticed from the neighbourhood roads (i.e. an ideal place to elope if you ask me!). I discovered it years ago while on a sunrise hike along the coast with my mum and her friends. Turns out it truly is a perfect elopement spot! Frolic, have a picnic, smooch your boo, escape from the everyday together and say your vows to the sounds of crashing waves.
G + L’s Love Story
It’s always such a pleasure to connect with couples and hear about their love story and life together. These two have four kiddos and are still incredibly beautiful and laidback together. They poked fun at each other, served up some serious cuteness and not-so-serious faces, and and were an absolute VIBE.
Now let me tell you about stars being freakin aligned.
G + L have been together for 20 years! Little did I know our destination elopement shoot was planned on their chosen anniversary date. The experience became so much more than modeling for an elopement photoshoot; by our lucky stars, we got to adventure out to the east coast to dance in the golden light on a day that marks 20 years of their love.
When the sun set, we headed back to the house to celebrate with bubbly and cake. Safe to say the bubbly was a good time and the cake devoured ā Olivia of Liv to Bake makes SUCH yummy custom treats *chef’s kiss*. The home had a cabinet in the living room that expanded out into a cheeky mini bar, lava lamp and all. Yes, I will 100% be installing one of these if I ever own a home.
